We Are Rewarded at the Coming of Christ and Resurrection
We are not rewarded immediately after we die, but after the resurrection. Although we are only rewarded for our labors while in the body.
John 5:21-22
For as the
Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth
whom he will. [22] For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all
judgment unto the Son:

And shall come
forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that
have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Daniel 12:2-3
And many of
them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life,
and some to shame and everlasting contempt. [3] And they that be wise shall
shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to
