CRT & BLM- Repurposed Old Garbage

By old garbage I am referring to Marxism. Which failed to generate the deterministic revolution of the proletariat in his dialectical materialism... predictably (Did any of them ever read Mises or Bastiat?). That old enemy Capitalism (i.e. property rights while ignoring central banking) prospered these saintly poor folks corrupting them (middle class) until a revolution wasn’t appealing to them; they were happy. And of course the collapse of the Soviet system, much to their chagrin. So, it was back to the drawing board for the dumpster diving Marxists. They need another army of victimized oppressed people who want liberation from having to work for a living (no, really!). After pickling themselves in post-modern theory they had a new strategy- use racism as a lever. (You can see more about this non-sense by reading and listening to Michael Rectenwald. He has a 6 hour course on the subject at Tom Woods Liberty Classroom which you should get- a ton of Libertarian material! Here are some podcasts you can get free on various aspects. Here is a lecture on it from a philosophical angle by Daniel Bonevac.)

Basically, for them there is no objective truth (a self-refuting proposition) and so, all narratives being expressed are acts of violence meant to subjugate the hearer. Thus, debate and rational argumentation is pointless with these liars, it’s all censor and cancel for them. And actually logic, math and science are examples of institutional racism, so... um... don’t think, I guess? I don’t have the time or patience here to detail the sheer stupidity (willing ignorance) of these people but I just wanted to give you a couple of quick pointers for when you are speaking with them (the 2 books above are good starters). Firstly- you might be dealing with the 'profane' lower class foot soldiers who actually believe there is something coherent at the core of this movement. You can make some headway with them- just pray and reason with them. God is able to grant them repentance to recover themselves (2 Tim 2:25). For details I would encourage you to read those 2 above current books on the issues. But secondly, behind them are the actual post-modern theorist 'priest' class who seek to radicalize the ignorant and hope to mobilize them to overthrow (loot & riot) capitalist Western culture and implement socialism. Don't hesitate to preach the gospel of Christ to them also, for it is the power of God unto salvation. (Rom.1:16) Critical Race Theory (CRT) and the Black Lives Matter organization (BLM- no, not buy luxury mansions) are current attempts at implementing anti-Christ Socialism. We discussed some of that in our Booker T. Washington series here and here, as well as this discussion here.

This book covers the occult roots of Post Modernism also.

Thirdly, when they say ‘Institutional Racism’ they mean free market capitalism/meritocracy/competence hierarchy, which to them amounts to logic and science used to ‘rape the earth and enslave brown people’, and omit any guilt by central banking (the actual cause of most of what they call capitalism). The idea is, destroy the free-market system and impose a tyrannical world government and banking system; in a nut shell. Capitalism however is only the straw man- really, they hate Christianity (and Judaism) from which property rights are derived. Thus, property rights, the traditional nuclear family, fatherhood (patriarchy), traditional morality- no lasciviousness or sexual deviancy, rational and scientific reasoning are all bad (Marx hated religion). When they say ‘whiteness’ they mean Christianity’s influence upon Western civilization. So don’t cower when they call you a racist, because there need not be any actual evidence for this. It is simply a tool to subdue you and shut you up in case you persuade someone rationally. They are conducting warfare against our Constitutional Republic and they are enemies at home and abroad. Don’t be surprised at the hypocrisy either because the end justifies the means, including incessant lying and slander.

It's high time to put on the whole armor of God. 1 Cor.16:13, Eph.6:10-18, 2 Tim.2:1, Rom.13:11-14

The Hypocrisy of Those Angry at God

Recently I had an interesting discussion with 3 young men who were drinking and enjoying the Friday night downtown activities. They were grouped together, standing with some ladies talking and waiting for dinner and I offered them a gospel tract related to the person of Christ and asked them to consider the question ‘Who is Jesus?’ The main gentleman I spoke with in an apparently preset response immediately said “What about a kid who gets cancer and dies?”

I asked him if he was making a statement by his rhetorical question regarding the problem of evil- How can a good God allow unnecessary suffering? He affirmed this and we began a very interesting talk. The discussion didn’t settle well with these particular girls as they said something like ‘You are hurting my vibe’ or a similarly profound expression. So, they departed rather suddenly which didn’t seem to bother the gentleman, much to their credit. I proceeded to apply a presuppositional apologetic response to this regarding the necessity of assuming God’s existence to account for the existence of his personal moral outrage, as well as logic and science. I told him that his was a psychological or emotional rejection of God’s existence and not a logical one. I thought he was denying God’s existence, but he didn’t. He stated that he didn’t deny God’s existence but could not imagine any reason why He could allow a child to suffer like that. After a little further discussion, I realized what he was saying and restated it, “So you don’t deny the God of the bible, you just hate him!” He basically agreed that this was indeed the case. I was surprised that he was this honest and didn’t couch his hatred in self-serving sophistry like most. I asked him “So, you don’t think it is possible that God who is infinitely smarter than you, might have a logical reason for allowing the child’s suffering that were you to know you would heartily agree?” He unabashedly said “No. There is no reason that he could provide me that would account for this.”

There was more back and forth with him and his 2 buddies, I’m just focusing on the more interesting points. But as I was framing this possibility to him- “What if the child’s cancer was because of a nutritional deficiency or...” -his friend to my right interrupted as he saw where this was going and asked if he could finish my line of reasoning. I obliged him and he said 'What if everyone would focus resources on finding a cure to cancer and it could be found.’ Right! What if everyone spent their money and energies into curing cancer and could but were more interested in eating, drinking and being merry? His friend enthusiastically agreed with this and said “I’m on his side” and humorously proceeded to give me a fist bump. The first guy reluctantly said that this could be a possibility. I was going to drive the point in more vigorously but they said they had to go eat. So, I exhorted them to consider what we discussed and we all shook hands and they went in to the restaurant.

As I thought about it later, I wish I would have been able to express to them of God’s anger towards a society and people more concerned about a life consisting in the abundance of things they possess than children suffering from numerous curable things. (Psa.9:17) I wanted to ask the young man what he has personally done to help these afore mentioned children. Or if he has devoted his own life to helping these kids. Imagine Judgment Day when God confronts people with all the devastating irreparable suffering that would have been alleviated if they cared less for themselves and their shallow and seasonal pleasures. What a wretched, vile and contemptuous existence we live as sinners even as we carelessly and ignorantly stare death in the face every moment at the precipice of eternity. Is this not truly delusion? They have no fear of God, just presumptuous and insufferable arrogance. ‘But, you see, God could easily fix it and that would free me up to live a life of self-serving, self-aggrandizing pursuits. And His obligating me to certain responsibilities I never chose I find to be rather bullying’. So, the magnificence of existence is cancelled by the burden of the severity of existence. (Rom.11:22) And of course you, being the more benevolent one would have done a better job than God did, obviously. Perhaps we need a hymnbook named for you!

The Lord warned through Paul “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves... lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God”. (2 Tim.3) Perilous times will increase in these last days expressly because men love themselves and their pleasures. A complete disregard for the sufferings of others while they blame God for it. Then they flatter themselves and their ‘unlimited human potential’ with motto's like “We are the ones we’ve been waiting for!” They graduate college and move on from reckless hedonism (dorm life) for a career in a high paying job so they can amass great wealth for themselves. Completely blind to the severity of their mistakes, the tragedy of unforgiveness and broken relationships to the permanency of death except to point their fingers accusingly in the face of God who gave them the immeasurable power to get wealth, who live and move and have their being in him. With open face they view the history of man (those who bother to get off of Facebook or pause from enhancing selfies to post) looking at the incalculable pain men have inflicted upon one another and they, carelessly and totally detached from reality say ‘God is letting this happen, he must not exist.’ Fools and blind! They can see how a single person can make a difference in numerous examples all around, but they focus their own energies on acquiring bigger and more expensive things or ever more intoxicating pleasures. (1 Jn 2:15-17) Even though we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out, this seems to be the purpose they choose for their life- laying up treasures and pleasures. (1 Tim 6:5-19, Lk.12:21, Mt.6:19-20, 2 Thes.2:12, 1 Tim.5:6, Tit.3:3, Heb.11:25, Jam.5:5) And then they blame God for problems but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. Thou hypocrite!

Ezek.34:4 The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost...

Matt.25:41-43 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

Jer.5:27-9 As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the Lord: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Amos 6:4-6 (v1 Woe to them that are at ease in Zion...) That lie upon beds of ivory, and stretch themselves upon their couches, and eat the lambs out of the flock, and the calves out of the midst of the stall; That chant to the sound of the viol, and invent to themselves instruments of musick, like David; That drink wine in bowls, and anoint themselves with the chief ointments: but they are not grieved for the affliction of Joseph.

The Balanced Christian Life

So, have you ever thought about whether you should be praying instead of praising? Fasting instead of feasting? Or studying instead of witnessing? Singing or sleeping? Home with the family or working to provide for them? Heading off to worship practice at church with your friends or staying home a helping your mom clean the bathroom? I’m sure you have; and you must devote much scrutiny to these things and not become imbalanced in any area. (Remember spiritual leg day!)

Of course, we are on our own journeys and courses as we press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ. (Ac.20:24, Heb.12:1-2, Rom.12:1-2, Phil.3:14) And as such we are at different stages of maturity as is everyone else. So, let’s not be too quick to judge our brother. Give them space and time with prayer and watching.

The Christian’s life involves our ever changing and adapting to internal and external forces designed and personally tailored by God to conform us into the image of Christ. (Rom.8:28, Prv.5:21, 20:24, 16:1,9, Heb.4:12-13) God chooses certain experiences and brings us into interaction with others and their actions which manifest within us thoughts and intentions that are imbalanced, deficient and wrong. They may wrongly compliment us and we get puffed up with pride. They may rightly criticize us and we get bitter and angry. We might be prone to treat a rich attractive person in a more accommodating way while the ugly or poor we might secretly disdain. (Jam.2:1-9) We might get stuck in traffic or can’t get something fixed and get furious at the circumstances. (Anger is the quickest motivator to shut off rational thinking. Eph.4:26, Prv.14:29, Ecc.7:9)

Care of the body is an important component to a balanced life, thus your sleep patterns and your work or exercise activities, sweating, diet, fasting, feasting, marital obligations are very important contributors to your mood and disposition. Each of which must be done in moderation and self-control. (Phil.4:5, Ex.20:9-10, Mk.6:31, Ecc.5:12, 1 Tim.4:8, 1 Cor.6:12-13, 7:2-5) But I want to use this time here to bring to focus the balance of the spirit and soul. We have had many discussions regarding this here, but I hope to provide a thumbnail sketch of the dangers of not keeping each in check. They will lead to different errors in judgment- both disastrous. When you feed your spirit and develop it more than your soul you are prone to make certain decisional mistakes. Likewise, if you focus on nourishing your soul and neglecting your spirit your tendency will be to fall into other snares. Is it that you are too caring or actually too cowardly?

This is the nature of wisdom- to discern both time and judgment. Should I rebuke or entreat? Nurture or admonish? Openly or in private? Is this the best time to bring this up or do I wait? A wise man considers these things and seeks the leading of the Spirit of God (Rom.8:14, Gal.5:18, 1 Thes.4:9). But when we are not balanced, we will tend to behave certain ways over certain other ways. We don’t want to believe something without enough evidence naively, neither do you want to deny something when there is sufficient evidence stubbornly. The simple believeth every word and fools hate knowledge. (Prv.14:15. 1:22) Are you more prone to fall into Nicolaitane or Balaam/Jezebel errors?

The Christian life is a life of faith and faith is rooted in the exceeding great and precious promises of God (Rom.10:17, 2 Pt.1:4, 2 Cor 7:1). So, trust in God’s saving power through Christ to make you what you should be when you should be as you continue stedfastly to what you will be! Trust in God’s will power- not yours! God is able to fix us through the resurrection power of Christ as we take up our cross daily. Consider these promises and let your faith be increased:

Phil. 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Heb.13:20-1 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Acts 20:32 And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

1 Cor.10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

2 Cor.9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:

Heb.7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Psa.138:8 The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.

Isa.26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Jam.1:4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

Eph.2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Eph.1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
